What does, “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 NKJV mean? It means to “”Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matthew 8: 34 … What does “Take up your Cross and follow me” mean? >>> It means IF we truly want the blessings of God, and IF we want to follow JESUS, then… we MUST not think about our own self first … We must think of others first … Self has┬áto be second nature rather than first. JESUS’ life was all about others than His own self … He went to them, rather than they coming to Him … He sought the Will of God for others, rather than that of His own self because that was His divine purpose and intent was to do the Will of God in His life. What He did was all about salvation for humanity … Strikingly in comparison, What our divine purpose and intent is all about HIM … He was all about God and His Kingdom principles and for humanity sake … We are to be all about Him and for humanity’s sake. It is first Loving others more than self … caring about others more than Caring about self … Being Concerned for them before being concerned for our own self … And having Compassion toward others rather than seeking compassion for self. When we get to that point of servitude within our own selfish life, then and only then are we truly “Seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness First” and, when we begin to “Take up our own Cross and follow JESUS” … It is called Having the Right Relationship with Father God and with others.
